The MCIA has noted that each sector has distinct demands, needs and issues, but are united by the need to ensure an efficient process for dispute resolution.Towards this end, the MCIA has launched the MCIA Users' Council.
The function of the MCIA Users' Council is to provide feedback on the MCIA Rules and international arbitration process from users of arbitration across sectors.
The MCIA Users' Council is an organ of the MCIA. It aspires to:
Involve professionals from India and around the world in building a robust network of individuals with an interest in international arbitration;
Maintain an online platform for networking, experience sharing and knowledge building in the field of international arbitration;
Organize skill-based training programs, seminars, workshops and social events to enable sector specific exchange of views, and ascertain the needs of end users;
To provide feedback to the MCIA on the MCIA Rules;
Provide frequent and regular updates on the latest developments in the field of international arbitration; and
Promote the use of alternative dispute resolution mechanisms, in particular, institutional arbitration.
