The 3rd Edition of the MCIA Rules demonstrates MCIA's continued commitment to administer arbitrations in a way which draws on the latest innovations in international arbitration while remaining attuned to the Indian market. The Rules draw on MCIA’s experience of administering more than 100 cases since it was founded in 2016, along with advances in international arbitration procedure which can suitably be incorporated into the MCIA Rules.

The MCIA Rules, 2025 introduces features which are intended to ensure that arbitrations are conducted in a manner which is fair, expeditious and economical. Key highlights of the MCIA Rules, 2025 are -

  2. Enhanced emergency arbitrator provision

  3. Expedited formation of the tribunal provision

  4. Early dismissal and summary procedure

  5. Provision for concurrent proceedings

  6. Provision dealing with third-party funding

  7. Appointment of Tribunal Secretary

  8. Publication of awards
